Class Descriptions: Street dance: Class Combines all the fundamentals of Street Dance, such as Hip Hop, Break, Popping, Locking, Waving, Sliding & Liquid. Ideal for someone looking for a fun & friendly introduction to Street Dance. Jazz: Combining techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. Jazz can take on many different characteristics and styles, including Street Jazz, Percussive, Broadway, Contemporary and Lyrical. Jazz can be patterned in any of these styles or a combination of them. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style. Heels: Sass and fierceness!. Build your confidence, a high energy, action packed class fusing the strong attitude of Hip Hop and Jazz, with the sexiness of Burlesque What to wear: Low/no platform heels with a closed toe are best to start, thicker heels will make you feel more stable if you're not used to moving in heels. A two inch heel boot is the best to start with. Commercial: Bring out your inner Diva and get your Sassiness powered on full! Commercial is a strong sassy dance style seen in most Music Videos, Concerts and Commercials, with a variety of dance styles such as Jazz, elements of Street Dance and Contemporary. Contemporary: Using dance techniques and methods found in ballet, modern dance and postmodern dance, it also draws from other philosophies of movement that are outside the realm of classical dance technique. Contemporary dance employs many modern dance techniques such as contact-release, fall and recovery, floor work, improvisation, and lifts in partnering. Strictly Dance-Fit: A new "Strictly" inspired dance workout with no partner or experience necessary. This is a fun dance fitness, partner free class based on the hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Learn steps of the Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, Quickstep, Jive and more! Suitable for all ages and abilities Ballroom, Latin & Salsa: Ballroom consists of any of the various social dances, such as the Fox Trot, Tango, or Waltz, in which couples follow a conventional pattern of steps. Latin American dances consists of : Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, & Jive. Compared to typical ballroom dances, Latin dances are generally faster-paced, more sensual, and have more rhythmic expression. No partner is required for this class, solos or couples are welcome. Tap: A style in which the rhythm is sounded out by the clicking taps on the heels and toes of a dancers shoes. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are typically associated with this style of dance, although more modern groups such as the Tap Dogs have re-vamped this traditional style of dance. Cheerleading: Fusing Cheerleading & Urban styles, a very lively, energetic class. Get your poms at the ready! Ballet: A classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses. A must class for all serious dancers wanting to enter into further and higher dance education.

All classes on our Timetable are exam classes, pupils will be trained and entered for Dance Examinations twice per year.

Anyone not wishing to participate in examinations, please attend classes marked with a * only.

Adults wishing to participate in examinations may do so, please speak to your class Instructor who will advise you further.

Private Tuition is available in all Subjects at a cost of £35.00 per hour, for up to 2 people.
