Class Descriptions: Jazz: Combining techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. Jazz can take on many different characteristics and styles, including Street Jazz, Percussive, Broadway, Contemporary and Lyrical. Jazz can be patterned in any of these styles or a combination of them. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style.

All classes on our Timetable are exam classes, pupils will be trained and entered for Dance Examinations twice per year.

Anyone not wishing to participate in examinations, please attend classes marked with a * only.

Adults wishing to participate in examinations may do so, please speak to your class Instructor who will advise you further.

Private Tuition is available in all Subjects at a cost of £35.00 per hour, for up to 2 people.
